RE: Revisions to Demolition Contract 139-D-GO-08-19-05
Dear Mr. Frickson:
In accordance with our telephone conversation this date,please be advised that of the four
(4) structures slated for demolition, only two (2)will proceed to demolition. These two
properties are: 415 Pine Street and 205 Walnut Street
The properties at 2554 Edgemont Street and 407-09 Pine Street will NOT be demolished
at this time, if at all,unless and until you receive Separate,Specific notices to proceed.
We enclose three(3) Agreements which reflect the above changes, and require your
signature. Please sign and return all copies to us as soon as possible. We will then obtain
the final signatures and return a fully executed copy to you.
You may immediately proceed to initiate utility cutoffs and appropriate IDNR notices and
upon completion of those activities, demolition may begin. You are reminded to dispose
of demolition materials in accordance with state and local statutes.

AGREEMENT FOR DEMOLITION AND SITE CLEARANCE
GROUP 139-D-GO-08-19-05
THIS AGREEMENT made this 19th day of September , 2005, by and between Frickson
Bros. Excavating, a corporation organized and existing under the laws of the State of
Iowa,hereinafter called the "CONTRACTOR", and the CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
hereinafter called the "CITY".
WITNESSETH,that the Contractor and the City for the consideration stated herein
mutually agree as follows:
ARTICLE 1. STATEMENT OF WORK. The Contractor shall furnish all supervision,
technical personnel, labor,materials, machinery, services, and perform and substantially
complete all work within 30 days after receipt of Notice to Proceed, all work required for
the Demolition and Site Clearance in an efficient and workmanlike manner as follows:
DEMOLITION OF BUILDINGS ON, AND CLEARANCE OF SITES of all parcels as
enumerated in Bid Schedule attached to and forming a part of this Contract, within the
City of Waterloo Demolition Project 139-D-GO-08-19-05 all in strict accordance with
the Contract Documents for Demolition and Site Clearance including all Addenda
thereto,

ARTICLE 2. THE CONTRACT PRICE. The Local Public Agency will pay the
Contractor for the performance of the Contract in current funds, subject to additions and
deductions as provided in the Section "Changes in the Work" under General Conditions,
Part I, and subject to all other conditions set forth in the Contract Documents,the sum of
NINETEEN HUNDRED AND NO/100 Dollars ($19,000.00) in addition to and above
the value of such salvaged materials specified to become the property of the Contractor,
and in accordance with the contractor's bid.
ARTICLE 3. CONTRACT. The executed Contract Documents shall consist of the
following:
a. This Agreement f. General Conditions
b. Addenda Part I, II, and III
c. Invitation to Bid g. Special Conditions
d. Instructions to Bidders h. Technical Specifications
e. Signed copy of Bid i. Drawings as listed in the
Schedule of Drawings

THIS AGREEMENT, together with the other documents enumerated in this Article 3,
which said other documents are as fully a part of the Contract as if hereto attached or
herein repeated, forms the Contract between the parties hereto. In the event that any
provision in any component part of this Contract conflicts with any provisions of any
other component part, the provision of the component part first enumerated in this Article
3 shall govern, except as otherwise specifically stated.
NOTICE TO PROCEED. After execution of the Agreement, a Notice to Proceed will be
issued to the contractor, whereupon the contractor shall proceed with his/her work in
accordance with the Contract time established in the SPECIAL CONDITIONS
contained herein.
ARTICLE 4.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have caused this Agreement to be executed
in three (3) original copies on the day and year first above written.
