REGINALD Mayor Hurley and City Council Members,
SCHMITT
Ward 1 After reviewing the bids and other considerations, it is our recommendation
CAROLYN that we reject the bid from Black Hawk Waste Disposal for the drop off site recycling
COLE collection and disposal program and that we wish to award the bid to the second low
Ward 2 bidder, Denver Construction, Inc. at a cost of$54.26 per ton.
HAROLD
GETTY City staff has great concern with Black Hawk Waste Disposal's financial
Ward 3 situation due to tax garnishments and dealing with them could be risky and could end
up being more expensive.
