REGINALD A. RE: General Obligation Bond Demolition Project
SCHMITT CONTRACT NO. 163-D-GO-07-20-09
Ward 1 Revised Plans and Specs: Substitution of Property
CAROLYN
COLE Staff obtained authorization to solicit bids for the General Obligation Bond Demolition
Ward 2 Project, Contract No. 163-D-GO-07-20-09, using Plans and Specifications prepared by the
HAROLD City's Community Development Office. The initial plans and specs involved seven (7)
GETTY homes, and one (1) garage scheduled for demolition in this project, a total of eight (8)
Ward 3 structures. No asbestos abatement is required. The property addresses are as follows:
QUENTIN M.
HART HOUSES (seven-7): 1017 Mobile St., 1331 Mulberry St., 1015 Fairview St., 706 Cottage
Ward 4 St., 528 N. Barclay St., 332 Irving St., and 509 Adams St.
RON
WELPER GARAGES (one-1): 1015 Fairview St.
Ward 5
- Staff is requesting permission to delete the property at 332 Irving Street and add a
BOB
GREENWOOD property, a house and garage, at 408 Fowler Street. 332 Irving will be demolished at a later
At-Large date. The total number of structures will be now be nine (9). This substitution is likely to
add an additional cost of$900 to this project for the garage demolition at 408 Fowler.
STEVE There is no garage at 332 Irving Street. It is anticipated that the estimated cost of this
SCHMITT
At-Large contract may exceed the $25,000 threshold; therefore a public hearing is required.
It is recommended that July 20, 2009 remain as the Bid Opening, Bid Award, and
Execution of Contract date. Competitive bids are being solicited.
