WardJORDA2N Please find attached two (2) copies of grants with the Iowa twoDepartment of

Transportation for RISE funding and Railroad Assistance in conjunction with the
JERRY above referenced projects.

The costs associated with the construction of a boulevard, for 1000 feet east of
!OF Airport Boulevard, are estimated at $409,600. The R.I.S.E. grant will cover 80% or
COLLIER $204,800 for two-lanes of the project, with the City providing a 20% match. The
ward 4project includes the construction of two additional lanes to meet the future needs
BARB of MidPort Boulevard. The spur line construction costs are estimated at $225,000,
KRIZEK the Railroad Assistance program will provide $100,000 of the total cost. The
I�'ard5 attached map delineates the projects under these agreements.

MOLLENHOFF The staff has reviewed these agreements and have found them to be in order.
At-Large Therefore, we ask that the City Council adopt a resolution authorizing the Mayor
<YizoLD to execute and enter into these agreements with the Iowa Department of
GETTY Transportation. This item has been placed on the Council agenda scheduled for
At-Large December 9, 1996.
