RESOLUTION NO. 2013-791A
RESOLUTION APPROVING RECOMMENDATION OF AWARD
OF CONTRACT TO YOUNG PLUMBING AND HEATING CO.
OF WATERLOO, IOWA, IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE
YOUNG ARENA DEHUMIDIFICATION PROJECT, IN THE
AMOUNT OF $429,800.00.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA:
That the Contract with Young Plumbing and Heating Co. of
Waterloo, Iowa, in the amount of $429,800.00, in conjunction with
the Young Arena Dehumidification Project, described in the plans
and specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said
project with Resolution No. 2013-756 after public hearing on
September 16, 2013 on published notice required by law, be and is
hereby awarded, the same being the apparent lowest bid for said
project.
The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby directed to execute
contract with the said contractor for the said improvements, said
contract not to be binding on the City until approved by this
Council.

RESOLUTION FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE OF
HEARING AND NOTICE TO BE GIVEN ON THE REQUEST
OF BLACK HAWK CONTRACTING AND DEVELOPMENT,
INC. FOR A SITE PLAN AMENDMENT TO THE "R -3,R -
P" PLANNED MULTIPLE RESIDENCE DISTRICT FOR
PROPERTY GENERALLY LOCATED NEAR THE
INTERSECTIONS OF EAST 7TH AND 8TH STREETS,
ALONG LAFAYETTE STREET, AS OCTOBER 7, 2013,
AT 5:30 P.M. IN CITY HALL COUNCIL CHAMBERS,
WATERLOO, IOWA, AND INSTRUCTING THE CITY
CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE OF HEARING.
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, shall
meet in the Council Chambers in the City Hall in the City of
Waterloo, Iowa, at 5:30 p.m. on the 7th day of October, 2013, for
the purpose of considering the request of Black Hawk Contracting
and Development, Inc. for a site plan amendment to the "R -3,R-2"
Planned Multiple Residence District for roperty generally located
near the intersections of East 7th and 8t Streets, along Lafayette
Street, to allow for the construction of six (6) new townhome
units and one (1) new single-family home, and legally described
as follows:
All of Lots 2 and 3 and the West 60 feet of Lots 1 and
4, Block 17, Original Plat of Waterloo, East side of
the Cedar River, Black Hawk County, State of Iowa.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish
notice of the time and place of said hearing in the Waterloo
Courier.
