SUBJECT: PUBLIC MARKET INTERIOR DEVELOPMENT
Submitted by: Rick Curran, Facilities Manager, Leisure Services
Recommended City Council Action: Approve Plans, Specifications and Form of Contract for the
PUBLIC MARKET INTERIOR DEVELOPMENT, 327 W. 3rd Street,Waterloo, Iowa and set
the date of Public Hearing and Bid Opening as July 11, 2011.
Summary Statement: This project is for interior construction consisting of electrical, HVAC,
above ground plumbing, and installation of kitchen hood, etc. at the Waterloo Public Market
Building, 327 West Third Street, Waterloo, Iowa.
Expenditure Required: No expenditure at this time.
Source of Funds: Once bids are awarded, the project costs are to be funded with Waterloo
Development Corporation allotment from Black Hawk County Gaming Association.
Policy Issue: NA
Alternative: NA
Background Information: On December 13, 2010 Council approved an agreement with
InVision Architects to provide design and construction documents for this project. This project
has a completion deadline of Sept. 30, 2011 as outlined in a recent CAT grant contract
amendment.
