CITY OF WATERLOO RECYCLING PROPOSAL
The following is a proposal dated April 14, 2010 from Dittmer Recycling for the City of Waterloo.
This proposal if for acceptance by transfer and processing of waste materials collected by the City of
Waterloo from its curbside automated recycling program.
Dittmer Recycling will provide a 70 yard roll-off receptacle, one to be on-sight at all times to
be used for recycling materials to include: tin and bi-metal cans, cardboard
(OCC)/chipboard, newspapers, magazines, grades #1-5 and #7 plastic containers, and office
paper, white and colored. Please note that Dittmer Recycling does not except #6 grade
plastic containers.
Dittmer Recycling will provide trucking to remove recycling materials to be brought back to
Dittmer Recycling to be processed in our single stream sort line. All loads will be weighed
in and out using our certified scale and a scale ticket will be printed for each load.
Fees paid to Dittmer Recycling will be based on the Blended Rates Chart marked "Exhibit
A". The "blended rate" is calculated using the Official Yellow Sheet Board Markets as
follows:
Average of Chicago High Side/Low Side
Newspaper #8 Average x 50%
Corrugate Cardboard (OCC) + Average x 20%
Residential Mixed Paper + Average x 30%
Blended Rate
Year to date blended rates are as follows:
January 2010 $74.00
February 2010 $80.00
March 2010 $93.00
April 2010 $87.00
The Yellow sheets for January—April 2010 are attached for your reference.
