Ladies and Gentlemen:
Please make the following corrections or changes to the bidding documents. These items
shall supersede, modify and/ or change all statements or drawings to the contrary in the
plans and specifications and shall take precedence over these documents. Bidders shall
base their bid on the plans and specifications as modified by the changes herein specified.
DRAWINGS
ITEM #1- SHEET A101- CEILING PLAN
As shown on the Legend on this sheet A101, the "MS" and "ST" designation on
this plan indicates multi-scored concrete block and standard concrete block
respectively on the exposed block face of the walls. At Corridor 009 and
Corridor 010 side of the wall, the steel columns shall be covered with 8" x 16"
standard face concrete block"pilasters"projecting 8"to the interior with square
corners (not bullnosed) to match existing at the north corridor completed last
year.
At Corridor 011 where "MS" designation is called for on both faces of the 8"
masonry wall, change the wall width to a 12" wide wall consisting of 4" and 8"
multi-scored block units. Offset the wall from centerline of the column line so a
4" block passes in front of the exterior face of the column so the wall is flush on
the building exterior (no pilaster bump-outs). On the interior side of the wall,
pilasters at columns shall be standard block "pilasters" protruding out from the
wall face 8" x16" as noted previously. Alternate each 8" high course layer
consisting of a 4"exterior block wythe and 8" interior block wythe followed by a
course of 8" exterior block wythe and 4" interior block wythe for the 12" wide
wall (the east end of the wall built in the column line at Corridor 011). Adjust the
footing centerline to center on the 12" wall location relative to the column line
as described above.
