Change Order No. 2-$17,107.12 Decrease

Recommended City Council Action:Approval of Change Order No. 2 with Peterson
Contractors, Inc. for a Decrease of$17,107.12 and authorize the Mayor to sign it on behalf of the
City.
Summary Statement This is the final increase/decrease change order that reconciles final cost
with the original contract amount.

Background Information: Work under this project was done by a time and materials
agreement with the contractor for a cost not to exceed$35,649.17. After the agreement was
signed, PCI discovered errors in the unit costs for some of the labor classifications and
equipment. Change Order No. 1 (for an increase of$8,620) amended the agreement to correct
the unit costs. This resulted in several line items not being used, and thus, a substantial
decrease in the final project costs.
