CAROLYN This is to request that Council adopt resolutions to preliminarily approve the
COLE plans and specifications for SpringView Park Playground Equipment, and to
Ward 2 instruct the City Clerk to publish notice of hearing on plans, specifications, etc.

Wards I request that Council accept the Leisure Services Commission recommendation
JOHN A. to accept the proposal from Gazaway&Associates for Miracle Equipment in the
KINCAID amount of$33,000.00. I further request that Council approve a total project
Ward 4 budget of$40,000.00 to include safety surface and border.

WEEPER This project provides for the installation of new playground equipment at Spring
Ward 5 View Park. A copy of the plans and specifications is in the City Clerk's Office
for your review. Funding is available from G.O. bonds and a $25,000.00 Grant
BOB was approved by Community Development.

Dear Rick Curran,
Enclosed is the play structure proposal as requested.
The cost for the play structure, Multi-Pondo and (2)benches, including installation by a
certified Miracle Recreation installer is $33,000 delivered.
The proposal includes a 4' high Center Stage deck. The Center Stage System has a
center pedestal as the deck support allowing children to run below the deck and helps
with supervision by the parents. Exclusively Miracle Recreation Equipment Company
manufactures this system
Gazaway and Associates has three full time sales people located in Marshalltown, Ia. to
take care of all your recreation needs. Having this many sales people with over 30 years
of combined playground sales experience allows us to service our customers than the
competition.
