GETTY Transmitted herewith are two (2) copies of an agreement between the City and the
Ward 3 IDOT for improvements to University Avenue (IA 934). The outer portion of
IOHN A. University will be milled, rubblized, and resurfaced from Midway Drive east to near
KINCAID U.S. 63. The improvements will average twenty feet(20') in width from the face of the
Ward 4 curb on both sides of the street.

\YELPER In lieu of not reinstalling existing traffic signal detection loops, the IDOT will fund and
Ward 5 the city will purchase, install, and make operational sixteen(16)video image detection
system cameras. The cost will not exceed$96,000.00 and the City shall have them

RE operational by September 1, 2006.

There will be no cost to the City and the IDOT expects to begin construction this fall.
ERIC Staff has reviewed the agreement and I recommend that the City Council approve it and
