Ward Please find attached letter from AECOM Technical Services, Inc.(ATS), formerly known as Earth
Tech Inc.(prime consultant), requesting the authorization to modify scope of services,transfer costs,
QUENTIN M. release contingency and extend completion date. The transfer of costs is to sub-consultant Craig
HART Ritland Landscape Architects' (CRLA)authorized amount and includes unused costs from the
Ward 4 following sub-consultants:

Ward 5 RDG 4,900.00
Vandewalle 3,300.00
BOB $10,700.00
GREENWOOD
At-Large Release of contingency includes $34,000. Transfer of costs includes $9,000 from unused
STEVE contingencies of sub-consultants—Tallgrass Historians and Aerial Services,to ATS authorized costs.
SCHMITT The proposed transfer and release does not change the maximum amount payable under the
At-Large agreement.
The reason for the release of contingency and movement of these costs includes the following:
Recent audit reports indicate that the provisional overhead rate will increase from 160%to 172%.
CRLA has been asked to provide preliminary design of roadway enhancements between Newell
Street and Donald Street.
The changes to scope of services includes deletion or modification of six tasks and adding of four
tasks including layout of right-of-way and preparation of plats and legals as well as plotting of plans
and summary sheets and preparation of design cross sections. Lastly,the completion date of the
project will be extended from June 30, 2009 to December 31, 2009, due to the additional work.

authorize the Mayor to sign and approve said request, so that it can be forwarded to the IDOT for
approval.
