Enclosed please find one set of plans and specifications for the Storage Building at the Waterloo WPCF.
We have prepared the documents in anticipation of Council approval on November 10, 2008, and
accepting bids on December 1, 2008. The documents establish the completion date of June 30, 2009.
These should be given to Nancy Eckert today to get them on the Council Agenda for Monday night.

RESOLUTION NO. 2008-1005
RESOLUTION PRELIMINARILY APPROVING BID
DOCUMENT, SPECIFICATIONS, FORM OF CONTRACT,
ESTIMATE OF COST, ETC. , FOR STORAGE BUILDING
FOR WATER POLLUTION CONTROL FACILITY.
WHEREAS, the City Council previously instructed the Acting
Superintendent of Waste Management Services, to prepare and file
bid document, specifications, form of contract and preliminary
estimate of cost, etc . , for the construction of the Storage
Building for Water Pollution Control Facility, in the City of
Waterloo, Iowa, as specified in the specifications, and
WHEREAS, the Acting Superintendent of Waste Management
Services has filed said bid document, specifications, form of
contract and preliminary estimate of costs, etc . , and the Council
of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, having considered the same .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that said bid document, specifications, form of
contract and preliminary estimate of cost, etc . , be, and the same
are hereby preliminarily approved.

RESOLUTION NO. 2008-1006
RESOLUTION FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE OF
HEARING ON PROPOSED BID DOCUMENT,
SPECIFICATIONS, FORM OF CONTRACT AND ESTIMATE
OF COST FOR THE STORAGE BUILDING FOR WATER
POLLUTION CONTROL FACILITY IN THE CITY OF
WATERLOO AND THE TAKING OF CONSTRUCTION BIDS
THEREFORE, AS DECEMBER 1, 2008, AT 5 : 30 P.M.
AT CITY HALL COUNCIL CHAMBERS AND INSTRUCTING
THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH THE NOTICE OF
HEARING.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
AS FOLLOWS :
Section 1 . That the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa,
shall meet at the City Hall Council Chambers in the City of
Waterloo, Iowa, at 5 : 30 p.m. on the 1st day of December, 2008, for
the purpose of holding a public hearing on proposed bid document,
specifications, form of contract and estimate of cost for the
Storage Building for Water Pollution Control Facility, in the City
of Waterloo and the taking of construction bids therefore.
Section 2 . That the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish
notice of the time and place of said hearing in the Waterloo
Courier.
