RESOLUTION NO. 2026-484
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE AMENDMENT TO BUSINESS
PROPERTY LEASE WITH FRIENDS OF FAITH RETIREMENT
HOMES, INC. FOR THE PURPOSE OF STORMWATER DETENTION,
PICKLE BALL COURTS, AND PARKING AT BONTRAGER PARK,
AND AUTHORIZING MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE
SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa has entered into a Business Property Lease with
Friends of Faith Retirement Homes, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, the City and Friends of Faith Retirement Homes, Inc. desire to amend the
Business Property Lease to provide for the use of the leased property for stormwater detention,
pickleball courts, and parking at Bontrager Park; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that approval of the Amendment to Business Property
Lease is in the public's interest.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,
1. That the Amendment to Business Property Lease between the City of Waterloo and
Friends of Faith Retirement Homes, Inc., for the purpose of stormwater detention, pickleball
courts, and parking at Bontrager Park, is hereby approved.
2. That the Mayor and City Clerk are and directed to execute said document on behalf of
the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
