RESOLUTION NO. 2026-486
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE SALE OF ALL CONTENTS OF THE
FORMER COURIER BUILDING, 100 E. 4TH STREET, WATERLOO,
IOWA, INCLUDING DESKS, CHAIRS, SHELVING, TABLES, ETC. AS
REQUESTED BY THE BUILDING MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa owns the former Courier Building located at 100
East 4th Street, Waterloo, Iowa; and
WHEREAS, the Building Maintenance Department has requested authorization to sell
the contents of the former Courier Building, including, but not limited to, desks, chairs, shelving,
tables, and other personal property located therein; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the sale of said personal property is in the best
interests of the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,
1. The sale of all contents of the former Courier Building, located at 100 East 4th Street,
Waterloo, Iowa, including desks, chairs, shelving, tables, and other personal property, is hereby
approved.
2. City staff are authorized and directed to dispose of and sell said personal property in
accordance with applicable City policies and procedures and Iowa law.
