RESOLUTION NO. 2026-479
RESOLUTION CONFIRMING APPROVAL OF PLANS,
SPECIFICATIONS, FORM OF CONTRACT, ETC., AND
AUTHORIZING TO PROCEED IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE
ASBESTOS ABATEMENT SERVICES, CONTRACT AB-2026-08-06P,
FOR PROPERTIES LOCATED AT 321 DEARBORN AVENUE, 521
PINE STREET, 314 REBER AVENUE, 1410 MULBERRY STREET, 420
BAYARD STREET, AND 623 N. BARCLAY STREET.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, has determined that the
Asbestos Abatement Services, Contract AB-2026-08-06P, is necessary and in the public's
interest; and
WHEREAS, the contract is for properties located at 321 Dearborn Avenue, 521 Pine
Street, 314 Reber Avenue, 1410 Mulberry Street, 420 Bayard Street, and 623 N. Barclay Street;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the proposed plans, specifications, form of
contract, and related documents for said project; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to confirm approval of the plans, specifications,
form of contract, and related documents, and authorize the project to proceed in accordance with
applicable bidding and contracting requirements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,
1. That the plans, specifications, form of contract, and estimate of cost for the Asbestos
Abatement Services, Contract AB-2026-08-06P, for properties located at 321 Dearborn Avenue,
521 Pine Street, 314 Reber Avenue, 1410 Mulberry Street, 420 Bayard Street, and 623 N.
Barclay Street, are hereby confirmed and approved.
2. That the Planning Department is authorized to proceed with the project in accordance
with said plans, specifications, and form of contract.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 8th day of September 2026.
