RESOLUTION NO. 2026-520
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO BROCK
EVEN CONSTRUCTION, LLC, OF JESUP, IOWA, IN THE
AMOUNT OF $104,440.83, APPROVING THE CONTRACT,
BONDS, AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY 2027 SIDEWALK REPAIR
ASSESSMENT PROGRAM - ZONE 5B PROJECT, CONTRACT
NO. 1156, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY
CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, bids have been received for the FY 2027 Sidewalk Repair Assessment
Program — Zone 5B Project, Contract No. 1156; and
WHEREAS, Brock Even Construction, LLC, of Jesup, Iowa, has submitted the lowest
responsible bid in the amount of $104,440.83; and
WHEREAS, the contract, bonds, and certificate of insurance submitted by Brock Even
Construction, LLC, have been reviewed and are acceptable.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. The bid of Brock Even Construction, LLC, of Jesup, Iowa, in the amount of
$104,440.83, for the FY 2027 Sidewalk Repair Assessment Program — Zone 5B Project, Contract
No. 1156, is hereby accepted and awarded.
2. The contract, bonds, and certificate of insurance submitted in connection therewith are
hereby approved.
3. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 21st day of September 2026.
