RESOLUTION NO. 2026-522
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE INSTALLATION OF TWO
SPEED HUMPS TO BE PLACED AT LONGFELLOW
AVENUE BY LINCOLN SCHOOL.
WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes the importance of promoting the safety of
students, pedestrians, motorists, and other users of public streets in the vicinity of Lincoln
School; and
WHEREAS, the installation of traffic -calming measures on Longfellow Avenue near
Lincoln School will assist in reducing vehicle speeds and improving safety in the area; and
WHEREAS, City staff has recommended installation of two speed humps on Longfellow
Avenue near Lincoln School.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. The installation of two speed humps on Longfellow Avenue near Lincoln School is
hereby approved.
2. The Traffic Department is authorized and directed to proceed with the installation of
the speed humps in accordance with applicable City standards and requirements.
