RESOLUTION NO. 2026-525
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PRE -EMPLOYMENT
REIMBURSEMENT AGREEMENT AND AUTHORIZING THE FIRE
CHIEF TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENTS ON AN ONGOING
BASIS.
WHEREAS the City of Waterloo Fire Rescue Department requires certain pre-
employment examinations, screenings, certifications, and related requirements for prospective
employees; and
WHEREAS, a Pre -Employment Reimbursement Agreement has been prepared to
establish the terms under which applicable pre -employment expenses may be reimbursed; and
WHEREAS, authorizing the Fire Chief to execute such agreements on an ongoing basis
will facilitate the timely administration of the Fire Rescue Department's recruitment and hiring
process.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. The Pre -Employment Reimbursement Agreement is hereby approved.
2. The Fire Chief is hereby authorized and directed to execute Pre -Employment
Reimbursement Agreements on behalf of the City of Waterloo on an ongoing basis, in
substantially the form approved by this resolution.
3. The Fire Chief is further authorized to take such administrative actions as are
necessary to implement and administer the agreements.
