RESOLUTION NO. 2026-496
RESOLUTION APPROVING PRELIMINARY PLANS,
SPECIFICATIONS, FORM OF CONTRACT, ETC., SETTING
DATE OF BID OPENING AS OCTOBER 8, 2026, AND DATE
OF PUBLIC HEARING AS OCTOBER 19, 2026, FOR THE FY
2027 STORM SEWER DISCONNECTS - 400 BLK KERN
STREET, CONTRACT NO. 1167, AND INSTRUCT THE CITY
CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE.
WHEREAS, preliminary plans, specifications, form of contract, and estimate of cost
have been prepared for the FY 2027 Storm Sewer Disconnects — 400 Block Kern Street, Contract
No. 1167; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the preliminary plans, specifications, form of
contract, and estimate of cost for the Project should be approved; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to establish a date for receiving sealed bids for the Project
and to set a date for public hearing on the proposed plans, specifications, form of contract, and
estimate of cost.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. That the preliminary plans, specifications, form of contract, and estimate of cost in
conjunction with the FY 2027 Storm Sewer Disconnects — 400 Block Kern Street, Contract No.
1167, are hereby approved.
2. That sealed bids for said project shall be received up to 1:00 p.m. October 8, 2026.
3. That a public hearing on the proposed plans, specifications and form of contract, for
said project is hereby set for October 19, 2026.
4. The City Clerk is directed to publish notice of said public hearing as required by law.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 21st day of September 2026.
