RESOLUTION SETTING DATE OF PUBLIC HEARING AS
OCTOBER 5, 2026, TO APPROVE A REQUEST BY MIKHAL
AMBROSE TO REZONE APPROXIMATELY 0.17 ACRES
FROM "M-1" LIGHT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT TO "R-3"
MULTIPLE RESIDENCE DISTRICT TO CONSTRUCT A
SINGLE-FAMILY HOME LOCATED ADJACENT TO 213
PARK ROAD AND INSTRUCT THE CITY CLERK TO
PUBLISH NOTICE.
WHEREAS, Mikhal Ambrose has submitted a request to rezone approximately 0.17
acres of property located adjacent to 213 Park Road, Waterloo, Iowa, from the "M-1" Light
Industrial District to the "R-3" Multiple Residence District; and
WHEREAS, the requested rezoning is intended to permit construction of a single-family
home; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds it necessary and appropriate to conduct a public
hearing on the proposed rezoning request.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. A public hearing on the request by Mikhal Ambrose to rezone approximately 0.17
acres of property located adjacent to 213 Park Road, Waterloo, Iowa, from the "M-1" Light
Industrial District to the "R-3" Multiple Residence District, for the purpose of constructing a
single-family home, is hereby set for October 5, 2026.
2. The City Clerk is directed to publish notice of said public hearing as required by law.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 21' day of September 2026.
