RESOLUTION NO. 2026-513
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO PETERSON
CONTRACTORS, INC., OF REINBECK, IOWA, IN THE
AMOUNT OF $12,644,650.02, APPROVING THE CONTRACT,
BOND AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY 2026 SOUTH BUSINESS
PARK - PHASE I PROJECT, CONTRACT NO. 1129, RM-
8155(789)--9D-07, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND
CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, Peterson Contractors, Inc., of Reinbeck, Iowa, has submitted the lowest
responsible bid in the amount of $12,644,650.02; and
WHEREAS, the contract, performance and payment bond, and certificate of insurance
submitted by Peterson Contractors, Inc. have been reviewed and are acceptable.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. The bid of Peterson Contractors, Inc., of Reinbeck, Iowa, in the amount of
$12,644,650.02, for the FY 2026 South Business Park — Phase I Project, Contract No. 1129, RM-
8155(789)--9D-07, is hereby accepted and approved.
2. The contract, bonds, and certificate of insurance for said project are hereby approved.
3. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 21st day of September 2026.
