RESOLUTION NO. 2026-549
RESOLUTION APPROVING A TEMPORARY EASEMENT
AGREEMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,562.00 WITH CHRISBRO II,
INC., COMPENSATION FOR THE REMOVAL OF SIX MATURE
SHRUBS IN THE AMOUNT OF $600.00, TOTAL COMPENSATION
AMOUNT OF $2,162.00, FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2034 LA
PORTE ROAD, IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE LA PORTE ROAD
PHASE III RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT, AND AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS the City of Waterloo, Iowa, is undertaking the La Porte Road Phase III
Reconstruction Project; and
WHEREAS, acquisition of a temporary easement over property located at 2034 La Porte
Road is necessary for completion of the project; and
WHEREAS, Chrisbro II, Inc., has agreed to grant the city a temporary easement for
compensation in the amount of $1,562.00 and additional compensation in the amount of $600.00
for the removal of six mature shrubs located on the property; and
WHEREAS, the total compensation payable to Chrisbro II, Inc., is $2,162.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,
1. The Temporary Easement Agreement with Chrisbro II, Inc., for property located at
2034 La Porte Road, in connection with the La Porte Road Phase III Reconstruction Project, is
hereby approved.
2. Compensation to Chrisbro II, Inc., is approved in the total amount of $2,162.00,
consisting of $1,562.00 for the temporary easement and $600.00 for removal of six mature
shrubs.
3. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
