RESOLUTION NO. 2026-529
RESOLUTION APPROVING PRELIMINARY PLANS,
SPECIFICATIONS, FORM OF CONTRACT, AND ESTIMATED
COST; SETTING THE BID OPENING DATE OF OCTOBER 22,
2026, AND PUBLIC HEARING DATE OF NOVEMBER 2, 2026,
FOR THE 2026-2028 RESIDENTIAL/MISCELLANEOUS AREAS
SNOW REMOVAL CONTRACT FOR CITY -OWNED LOTS
GENERALLY ACQUIRED THROUGH IOWA CODE CHAPTER
657A; AND DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH
NOTICE.
WHEREAS, preliminary plans, specifications, form of contract, and estimated cost have
been prepared for the 2026-2028 Residential/Miscellaneous Areas Snow Removal Contract for
City -owned lots generally acquired through Iowa Code Chapter 657A; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the preliminary plans, specifications, form of
contract, and estimated cost should be approved and that the project should proceed to bidding;
and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to establish a date for the receipt and opening of bids and a
date for a public hearing on the proposed contract documents and estimated cost.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. The preliminary plans, specifications, form of contract, and estimated cost for the
2026-2028 Residential/Miscellaneous Areas Snow Removal Contract for City -owned lots
generally acquired through Iowa Code Chapter 657A are hereby approved.
2. The date for receipt and opening of bids is hereby set for October 22, 2026.
3. A public hearing on the proposed contract documents and estimated cost is hereby set
for November 2, 2026.
4. The City Clerk is directed to publish notice of said public hearing as required by law.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of October 2026.
