RESOLUTION SETTING DATE OF PUBLIC HEARING AS
OCTOBER 19, 2026, TO APPROVE A REQUEST BY
HEINHOLD HOG MARKETS, LLC, FOR A SITE PLAN
AMENDMENT, TO AMEND A PREVIOUSLY APPROVED
SITE PLAN FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A 21,640
SQUARE -FOOT HOG HOLDING FACILITY IN THE "M-2,P"
PLANNED INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT LOCATED SOUTH OF
720 NORTH ELK RUN ROAD AND INSTRUCT THE CITY
CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE.
WHEREAS, Heinhold Hog Markets, LLC has submitted a request for a Site Plan
Amendment to amend a previously approved site plan for the construction of a 21,640 square -
foot hog holding facility in the "M-2,P" Planned Industrial District located south of 720 North
Elk Run Road; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to consider this amendment and provide an
opportunity for public input.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. The public hearing be set for October 19, 2026, to amend a previously approved site
plan for the construction of a 21,640 square -foot hog holding facility in the "M-2,P" Planned
Industrial District located south of 720 North Elk Run Road.
2. The City Clerk is directed to publish notice of said public hearing as required by law.
