RESOLUTION NO. 2026-542
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO PETERSON
CONTRACTORS, INC., OF REINBECK, IOWA, IN THE
AMOUNT OF $722,851.19, AND APPROVING THE
CONTRACT, BOND AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY 2027 SERGEANT ROAD
TRAIL REPAIRS, CONTRACT NO. 1091, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS bids have been received for the FY 2027 Sergeant Road Trail Repairs,
Contract No. 1091; and
WHEREAS, Peterson Contractors, Inc., of Reinbeck, Iowa, has submitted the lowest
responsible bid in the amount of $722,851.19; and
WHEREAS, the contract, bond, and certificate of insurance submitted by Peterson
Contractors, Inc., have been reviewed and are acceptable.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,
1. The bid of Peterson Contractors, Inc., of Reinbeck, Iowa, in the amount of
$722,851.19, for the FY 2027 Sergeant Road Trail Repairs, Contract No. 1091, is hereby
accepted and awarded.
2. The contract, bond, and certificate of insurance submitted in connection therewith are
hereby approved.
3. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
