GETTY Please find attached two(2)copies of the proposed City-State Agreement No. 2-07-HPPU-017
Ward 3 for federal funds that will be utilized for the development of the Westfield Avenue Connection
project.

KINCAID This agreement pertains to the development and completion of the improvements to Westfield
Ward Avenue, including a connection from the John Deere facility,north of Westfield Avenue,to the
RON exit and entrance ramps of U.S. Highway 63/218.
WELPER
Ward 5 The agreement allows reimbursements under any of the following three funding categories:
BOB A. Division H,Title I, Section 117 Funds- $2,459,820.00
GREENWOOD 100%of eligible costs with a 0% local match
At-Large
ERIC B. SAFTEA-LU in the High Priority Projects (HPP)Funds—total upper limit of
GUNDERSON $6,000,000.00
At-Large 80%of eligible costs with a 20% local match
C. SAFTEA-LU in the Transportation Improvements(TI)Funds—total upper limit of
$3,000,000.00
80%of eligible costs with a 20% local match
It should be recognized that the actual amount of SAFTEA-LU funds available from the above-
referenced B &C funding sources would be limited by the amount of obligation authority made
available each year by Congress.
However, it is anticipated that most, if not all,of the project costs associated with the Westfield
Avenue Connection project will be Category A or Section 117 Funds.
Staff has reviewed this agreement and recommends Council approve this document and
authorizes Mayor to sign and enter into said agreement.
