A- Description of change to be made or extra work to be done:
Upgrading the Ethernet switches to hardened switches and Upgrading the interconnection of Westbound—
Eastbound Broadway (Ethernet/serial converters & line drivers).
B - Reason for change or extra work:
Hardened switches work best for Iowa's hot and extreme cold outdoor temperatures. All the equipment
will be connected to the Traffic Operation Center through wireless communications.
C-1 -Settlement for cost of work to be made as follows: $4,895.00.
C-2 - Justification for cost(s)
A breakdown of supplier' charges show costs are reasonable and comparable to market costs. There is a
10% mark up for the contractor.
