SUBJECT: Resolution-to approve and authorize Mayor Clark to sign an Agreement(l0-RECAT-
001)with the Vision Iowa Board for a River Enhancement Community Attraction and Tourism
(RECAT)grant in the amount of$135,000 with$50,000 local match for Mark's Park and
Performance Structure.

Background Information:A copy of the Agreement is available for your review in the City Clerk's
office.This grant will provide funding for amenities related to the Mark's Park and Performance
structure project. The children's spray park and performance structure will be constructed on the
bank of the Cedar River near the Waterloo Center for the Arts.
