RESOLUTION FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE OF
HEARING AND NOTICE TO BE GIVEN TO APPROVE
CERTAIN ACTIONS WITH RESPECT TO THE VIRDEN
CREEK DRAINAGE PROJECT, TO ESTABLISH THE
AMOUNT OF JUST COMPENSATION FOR CERTAIN
PROPERTY INTERESTS TO BE ACQUIRED FOR PROJECT
PURPOSES, AND TO AUTHORIZE THE USE OF
CONDEMNATION PROCEDURES FOR ACQUISITION OF
SAID PROPERTY INTERESTS IN FURTHERANCE OF THE
PROJECT OBJECTIVES, AS MAY 12, 2014, AT 5:30
P.M. IN THE LAW COURT THEATER IN THE WATERLOO
CENTER FOR THE ARTS, WATERLOO, IOWA AND
INSTRUCTING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH THE
NOTICE OF HEARING.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa
shall meet in the Law Court Theater in the Waterloo Center for
the Arts in the City of Waterloo, Iowa at 5:30 p.m. on the 12th
day of May, 2014, for the purpose of considering and acting upon
approving certain actions with respect to the Virden Creek
Drainage Project, to establish the amount of just compensation
for certain property interests to be acquired for project
purposes, and to authorize the use of condemnation procedures
for acquisition of said property interests in furtherance of the
project objectives.
Section 2. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to
publish notice of the time and place of said hearing in the
Waterloo Courier.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of April, 2014.
