RESOLUTION NO. 2016-687
RESOLUTION APPROVING REQUEST OF CINDY LYONS
AND THE EDISON NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION TO
HOLD A BICYCLE RACE SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 10,
2016, FROM 12:30 PM TO 2:30 PM. THE RACE WILL START
AND END AT OUR SAVIOR LUTHERAN CHURCH, 420
HARWOOD AVE. RACE ROUTE: 420 HARWOOD
WESTERLY TO MAGNOLIA PKWY.; MAGNOLIA PKWY.
NORTHERLY TO BISMARK; BISMARK EASTERLY TO
WALLGATE; WALLGATE SOUTHERLY TO HARWOOD.
THIS ROUTE WILL ALSO INCLUDE THE 700 BLOCK OF
ROCK ISLAND.
WHEREAS, Cindy Lyons and the Edison Neighborhood Association have requested that
they be allowed to hold a bicycle race Saturday, September 10, 2016, from 12:30 pm to 2:30 p.m.
starting and ending at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 420 Harwood Ave, following 420 Harwood
westerly to Magnolia Pkwy; Magnolia Pkwy; Northerly to Bismark; Bismark easterly to
Wallgate; Wallgate southerly to Harwood, including the 700 block of Rock Island, together with
the approval of the Director of Safety Services, and
WHEREAS, said event will begin at 12:30 p.m., with the route to start and end at Our
Savior Lutheran Church.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Cindy Lyons and the Edison Neighborhood
Association to hold a bicycle race Saturday, September 10, 2016, from 12:30 prn to 2:30 p.m.
starting and ending at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 420 Harwood Ave, following 420 Harwood
westerly to Magnolia Pkwy; Magnolia Pkwy; Northerly to Bismark; Bismark easterly to
Wallgate; Wallgate southerly to Harwood, including the 700 block of Rock Island, be and the
same is hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of September, 2016.
