RESOLUTION NO. 2016-688
RESOLUTION GRANTING REQUEST OF MAIN STREET
WATERLOO FOR A VARIANCE TO ORDINANCE NO. 3094,
NOISE ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, Main Street Waterloo is requesting a variance to the Noise Ordinance on
September 29, 2016 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 Noon, in conjunction with the Mayor's Fun Run
event to be held at the Expo Grounds, including the use of a PA system, and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of Ordinance No. 3094, Noise Ordinance,
and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Main Street Waterloo for a variance to the Noise
Ordinance on September 29, 2016 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 Noon, in conjunction with the
Mayor's Fun Run event to be held at the Expo Grounds including the use of a PA system,
together with the recommendation of the Director of Safety Services, be and the same hereby
granted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of September, 2016.
