RESOLUTION NO. 2016-691
RESOLUTION GRANTING REQUEST OF RAS SMITH FOR A
VARIANCE TO ORDINANCE NO. 3094,NOISE ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, Ras Smith has requested a Variance to the Noise Ordinance on Saturday,
September 10, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for the "Unite Us Basketball Tournament" to
be held at Gates Park, along with the use of a P.A. System, and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of Ordinance No. 3094, Noise Ordinance,
and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Ras Smith for a Variance to the Noise Ordinance on
Saturday, September 10, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for the "Unite Us Basketball
Tournament" to be held at Gates Park, along with the use of a P.A. System, together with the
recommendation of the Director of Safety Services, be and the same hereby granted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6t" day of September, 2016.
