RESOLUTION NO. 2014-559A
RESOLUTION GRANTING REQUEST OF FRIENDS OF
HEAL THE FAMILY INC. FOR A VARIANCE TO
ORDINANCE NO. 3094, NOISE ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, Friends of Heal the Family Inc. are requesting a
variance to the Noise Ordinance on August 16, 2014, from 11:00
a.m. to 4:00 p.m., in conjunction with the 6th Annual Take Back
Our Community event to be held at Sullivan Park, including a
band/DJ and the use of a PA system, and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of Ordinance No.
3094, Noise Ordinance, and
WHEREAS, said Friends of Heal the Family Inc. have made
formal application for a variance effective August 16, 2014, from
11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with recommendation and approval of
Director of Safety Services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Friends of Heal the Family
Inc. for a variance to Ordinance No. 3094, Noise Ordinance, on
August 16, 2014, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., in conjunction
with the 6th Annual Take Back Our Community event to be held at
Sullivan Park, including a band/DJ and the use of a PA system, be
and the same hereby granted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of July, 2014.
