RESOLUTION FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE OF
HEARING AND NOTICE TO BE GIVEN ON THE
VACATION OF A PORTION OF THE LA PORTE ROAD
FRONTAGE ROAD, GENERALLY LOCATED BETWEEN
EASTON AVENUE AND LORRAINE AVENUE, FOR THE
PURPOSE OF UTILIZING THE AREA FOR DEVELOPMENT
OF ABUTTING PARCELS, AS JUNE 16, 2014, AT
5:30 P.M. IN CITY HALL COUNCIL CHAMBERS,
WATERLOO, IOWA AND INSTRUCTING THE CITY CLERK
TO PUBLISH THE NOTICE OF HEARING.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa
shall meet at City Hall Council Chambers in the City of
Waterloo, Iowa at 5:30 p.m. on the 16th day of June, 2014, for
the purpose of considering and acting upon a proposal to vacate
a portion of the La Porte Road frontage road, generally located
between Easton Avenue and Lorraine Avenue, for the purpose of
utilizing the area for development of abutting parcels, legally
described as follows:
The West 67 feet of the East 100 feet of the North 5
acres of the South 10 acres of the Northwest 1-4 of the
Southeast Quarter of Section 36, Township 89 North,
Range 13 West, City of Waterloo, Iowa. And also, the
East 67 feet of Lots 1 and 2 of Sunkist Addition, City
of Waterloo, Iowa.
Section 2. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to
publish notice of the time and place of said hearing in the
Waterloo Courier.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 2nd day of June, 2014.
