RESOLUTION GRANTING REQUEST OF DEACON MICHAEL
E. LIEN OF NEW LIVING HOPE APOSTOLIC CHURCH,
223 EAST 4TH STREET, FOR VARIANCE TO
ORDINANCE NO. 3094, NOISE ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, Deacon Michael E. Lien of New Living Hope Apostolic
Church, 223 East 4th Street, is requesting a variance to the
Noise Ordinance on July 12, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in
conjunction with an Evangelistic Church Service to be held at the
park across from Newton's Cafe, 128 East 4th Street, including
the use of a PA system and small band, and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of Ordinance No.
3094, Noise Ordinance, and
WHEREAS, said Deacon Michael E. Lien of New Living Hope
Apostolic Church, 223 East 4th Street, has made formal
application for a variance to the Noise Ordinance on July 12,
2014 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., together with recommendation of
approval of the Director of Safety Services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Deacon Michael E. Lien of New
Living Hope Apostolic Church, 223 East 4th Street, for a variance
to the Noise Ordinance on July 12, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00
p.m. in conjunction with an Evangelistic Church Service to be
held at the park across from Newton's Cafe, 128 East 4th Street,
including the use of a PA system and small band, be and the same
hereby granted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 23rd day of June, 2014.
