RESOLUTION NO. 2014-156
RESOLUTION APPROVING REAL ESTATE PURCHASE
AGREEMENT WITH BANK OF NEW YORK MELLON AND
DIRECTING EXECUTION OF SAID AGREEMENT BY
MAYOR.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
that the Real Estate Purchase Agreement dated March 3, 2014, for
the acquisition of 1027 Lafayette Street in the amount of
$25,300.00, and legally described as follows:
The Northeasterly 55 feet of the Southeasterly half of
Lot No. 8, in Block No. 24, in the Original Plat, on
the East side of the Cedar River, in the City of
Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa, and the
Southeasterly Thirty -Seven and Fifty -Seven Hundredths
(37.57) feet of Lot No. 9; and the Southeasterly
Thirty -Seven and Fifty -Seven Hundredths (37.57) feet of
the Southwesterly five (5) feet of Lot No. Eight (8),
in Block No. Twenty -Four (24), in the Original Plat on
the East side of the Cedar River, in the City of
Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa;
by and between Bank of New York Mellon and the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, be and the same is hereby approved, and the Mayor and City
Clerk authorized to execute the same in behalf of the City of
Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of March, 2014.
