RESOLUTION NO. 2014-168
RESOLUTION APPROVING RECOMMENDATION OF AWARD
OF CONTRACT TO NICHOLS CONSTRUCTION INC. OF
EVANSDALE, IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT OF $68,000.00,
AND APPROVING CONTRACT, BONDS AND CERTIFICATE
OF INSURANCE IN CONJUNCTION WITH FY 2014
CEDAR VISTA SHELTER PROJECT.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA:
That the Contract, Bonds and Certificate of Insurance with
Nichols Construction Inc. of Evansdale, Iowa, in the amount of
$68,000.00, in conjunction with the FY 2014 Cedar Vista Shelter
Project, described in the plans and specifications heretofore
adopted by this Council for said project in Resolution No. 2014-
133, after public hearing on February 24, 2014 on published
notice required by law, be and is hereby accepted, the same being
the lowest bid received for said work.
The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby directed to execute
contract with the said contractor for the construction of said
improvements, said contract not to be binding on the City until
approved by this Council.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 10th day of March, 2014.
