RESOLUTION NO. 2014-339
RESOLUTION APPROVING REQUEST OF BISHOP
ENGINEERING ON BEHALF OF MCDONALDS
CORPORATION FOR A MINOR SITE PLAN AMENDMENT
TO THE "C -1,C -Z" CONDITIONAL ZONING DISTRICT
TO ALLOW FOR THE REMOVAL OF THE EXISTING
MCDONALDS RESTAURANT AND FOR THE CONSTRUCTION
OF A 5,235 SQUARE FOOT MCDONALDS RESTAURANT
TO BE BUILT IN ITS LOCATION AT 3658 KIMBALL
AVENUE.
WHEREAS, it has been proposed that the Council of the City
of Waterloo, Iowa, approve the request of Bishop Engineering on
behalf of McDonalds Corporation for a minor Site Plan Amendment
to the "C -1,C -Z" Conditional Zoning District to allow for the
removal of the existing McDonalds Restaurant and for the
construction of a 5,235 square foot McDonalds Restaurant to be
built in its location at 3658 Kimball Avenue, legally described
as follows:
The South 180 feet of the East 295 feet of Lot 155,
Grangers Second Addition, all in the City of Waterloo,
Black Hawk County, Iowa;
WHEREAS, due to the insignificant nature of said minor Site
Plan Amendment, the Council did not deem it necessary to hold a
public hearing, and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this Council that said minor
Site Plan Amendment should be approved as proposed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that a minor Site Plan Amendment to the
"C -1,C -Z" Conditional Zoning District to allow for the removal of
the existing McDonalds Restaurant and for the construction of a
5,235 square foot McDonalds Restaurant to be built in its
location at 3658 Kimball Avenue, be and the same is hereby
approved.
