Getty Council Chambers Members present: Cole (arrived at 4:56 p.m.) Schmitt, Lind, Morrissey, Welper, and Hart. Absent: Jones. Moved by Welper, seconded by Schmitt that the Agenda, as proposed, be approved. Ayes: Five. Motion carried. Appeal by Sarah Rynearson for a Taxi -cab Drivers License. HOLD HEARING. Carol Nemmers, Deputy City Clerk, explained that the denial is based on the recommendation for denial by the Waterloo Police Department due to the applicant responding no to being convicted of a felony, misdemeanor and license being revoked on the application. Sarah Rynearson, 1250 West Donald Street, reviewed her criminal history and noted that she didn't remember one of the charges and didn't know that an alford plea meant she was pleading guilty to a charge. Mr. Schmitt questioned Ms. Rynearson if she was employed anywhere. Ms. Rynearson stated that she's employed at a convenience store and handles money. Moved by Schmitt, seconded by Welper to close hearing and receive and file oral and written comments. Ayes: Six. Motion carried. Moved by Schmitt, seconded by Welper to table until October 6, 2014. With no further business before the committee, it was moved by Morrissey, seconded by Welper that the meeting be adjourned at 5:00 p.m. Ayes: Six. Motion carried. Carol Nemmers Deputy City Clerk
