Getty Council Chambers Members present: Chairperson Welper, Hart, Cole, Jones, Schmitt, Lind, and Morrissey. Moved by Hart, seconded by Schmitt that the Agenda, as proposed, be approved. Ayes: Seven. Motion carried. Moved by Cole, seconded by Schmitt that request for authorization to begin the Civil Service process for Combination Inspector II and make an appointment, be approved. Ayes: Four. Nays: Three (Jones, Schmitt, Lind). Motion carried. Mr. Jones requested if there is any urgency on moving forward with filling these positions. Moved by Cole, seconded by Schmitt that request for authorization to begin the Civil Service process for Sign & Traffic Foreman and make an appointment, be approved. Ayes: Four. Nays: Three (Jones, Schmitt, Lind). Motion carried. Sandie Greco, Traffic Superintendent, noted that the position is necessary and there are only three individuals in that division. There needs to be three people to ensure safety of the individuals. Moved by Cole, seconded by Schmitt that request for authorization to begin the Civil Service process for Financial Analyst and make an appointment, be approved. Ayes: Four. Nays: Three (Jones, Schmitt, Lind). Motion carried. Michelle Weidner, Chief Financial Officer, explained the necessity of this position. It is due to a retirement. Mr. Lind questioned if an appointment could be reversed if deemed necessary during the budget process. It was explained that it could potentially be reversed depending on where it was in the process. With no further business before the committee, it was moved by Hart, seconded by Schmitt that the meeting be adjourned at 5:11 p.m. Ayes: Seven. Motion carried.
