RESOLUTION NO. 2016-864
RESOLUTION APPROVING A HOUSING NEEDS
ASSESSMENT TO BE PREPARED BY INRCOG AT A COST
OF $20,000, AND TO BE SUBMITTED TO THE IOWA
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY AND
AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE
ANY NECESSARY DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo (hereinafter referred to as the City) has agreed to the
Intergovernmental Cooperative Agreement creating the Iowa Northland Regional Council of
Governments (hereinafter referred to as the Planning Agency), and is a member in good standing;
WHEREAS, the City wishes to engage the Planning Agency to update their Housing
Needs Assessment;
WHEREAS, the Intergovernmental Cooperation Agreement gives the Planning Agency
the responsibility outlined in Chapter 28E, Code of Iowa:
NOW THEREFORE, it is hereby resolved by the City Council of Waterloo,Iowa,that the
Planning Agency be retained to update its Housing Needs Assessment;
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 24t`day of October 2016.
