WATER POLLIJTION CONTROL FACILITY
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA
CONTRACT NO. 907
SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT NO. 1
WHEREAS, a Professional Services Agreement was entered into between the City of Waterloo, lowa,
(Client), and AECOM Technical Services, Inc. (ATS), of Waterloo, Iowa, dated February 1, 2016, for
design and bidding sei-vices for the FY 2016 Satellite Raw Wastewater Wet Well Rehabilitation Project.
WHEREAS, the Client and ATS now desire to enter into Supplemental Agreement No. 1 for additional
engineering services as described below in the Project Description and Scope of Services.
NOW THEREFORE, it is mutually agreed to amend the original Professional Services Agreement as
toliows:
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The project includes design and bidding services for the rehabilitation ot the existing satellite
raw wastewater wet well at the Water Pollution Control Facility (WPCF). The City would like to
add rebabilitation of other piping and equipment in this building to this contract. In particular,
this includes coating and rehabilitating the foliowing (tems:
1. The 30 -inch and 48 -inch degritter influent piping, effluent piping and associated vaives.
2. The 4 -inch grit pumps intluent piping, ettluent piping and associated valves. This
includes both Grit Pump 1 and Grit Pump 2.
The City would also like to include rehabilitation of the sludge transfer wet well to this project.
The wet well is Iocated between Sludge Digester Number 1 and Sludge Digester Number 2.
This would include coating the inside 01 the wet well and all associated internal piping.
11. SCOPE OF SERVICES
The Scope of Services will encompass and include detailed work, materials, equipment,
personnel and supplies necessary to provide design services tor this project. The Scope of
Services is further defined as foliows:
Design Services
Task 1 - Development ot Construction Plans and Project Manual. Add contract documents,
drawings and project manual to the original plan set (Contract No 907) indicating the tollowing:
1. Rehabilitation ot piping and equipment in the Raw Wastewater Pumping Building. This
would include Items 1 and 2 under Project Description above.
2. Rehabilitation ot the concrete and associated piping in the sludge transfer wet well.
The wet well cannot be out of service for an extended period of time. Therefore, any
rehabilitation will need to be carried out in stages and/or with materials that are fast
curing and able to achieve desired results in a short period of time.

Plans will include sheets detailing the pipes and materials that need coating. Specifications will
include specifications for removal methods, surface preparation and coating specifications for
these items. Specifications will also detail time restraints that will need to be abided by the
contractor for the rehabilitation of the sludge transfer wet well.
Task 2 - Estimate of Probable Costs. Prepare an estimate of probable costs based on the
contract documents. The items added as part of this supplemental agreement will be added to
the project estimate being prepared for the originally contracted project.
III. Compensation
Compensation for the above services will be on an hourly basis in accordance with Part VI of
the original agreement. Total compensation is an estimated fee which shall not exceed Eleven
Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($11,500.00) and is to be integrated with the fees in the original
agreement.
IV. In all other respects, the obligations of the Client and ATS shall remain as specified in the
Professional Services Agreement dated February 1, 2016.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have executed this Supplemental Agreement No. 1 as of
the dates shown below:
