City Attorney Jim Walsh stated that the abstracts do need to be updated and the estimated cost is $1,000. Usually the seller pays for the abstract to be updated but since the City is receiving the property by Quit Claim deed, it will probably be in our best interests to proceed with the updating of the abstract.
