The veterans have concerns about the city taking ownership of the building. He wants to make sure the contents are taken care of in the same manner as the county. Many small veterans groups use the building because they don't have their own meeting place. L.C. Hennessy, 717 Eastgate, was riding past a park this week and saw a couple walking their dogs. The dog fouled the footpath. L.C. Hennessy confronted the gentleman and he agreed to pick up the mess. L.C. proposes that we need others to speak out and get involved. There is a book out which speaks to that and he recommends that all read it. Tom Hall, 303 Logan Ave, complained about the lack of lighting at the intersections of Independence Avenue and Elk Run Road and Newell and Elk Run Road.
