Mayor John R. Rooff in the Chair. Roll Call: Getty, Jordan, Krizek, Murphy, Anders, Collier. Absent: Mollenhoff. Invocation by: Reverend Stan Kennedy, Retired Methodist Minister Mollenhoff now present at 7:03 p.m. Pledge of Allegiance: Councilperson Barb Krizek 108037 - Krizek/Murphy that the Agenda, as amended, for the Regular Session on at 7:00 p.m., be accepted and approved. Ayes: Seven. 108038 - Jordan/Murphy that the Minutes, as proposed, for the Regular Session on at 7:00 p.m., be accepted and approved. Ayes: Seven. Gary Wilcox presented a check in the Landfill. Monday, February 17, 1997, Motion carried. amount of $132,934 from the Black Hawk County 108039 - Mollenhoff/Murphy that proof of publication of notice of public hearing on request of Iowa Community Credit Union to sell and convey property generally located south and adjacent to Iowa Community Credit Union, 320 West 2nd Street, for $3,460.50, as published in the Waterloo Courier on February 17, 1997, be received and placed on file. Ayes: Seven. Motion carried. 108040 - This being the time and place of public hearing, the Mayor called for written and oral objections and there were none. Krizek/Jordan that the hearing be closed. Motion carried. 108041 - Collier/Murphy that "Resolution authorizing sale and conveyance of said property", be adopted and City Attorney instructed to prepare and deliver a deed accordingly. Ayes: Seven. Resolution adopted and upon approval by Mayor assigned No. 1997-70. UNFINISHED BUSINESS 108042 - Murphy/Collier that "Resolution preliminarily approving specifications, form of contract, etc. in conjunction with Byrnes Park Golf Course Irrigation System", be adopted. Ayes: Seven. Motion carried. ORAL PRESENTATIONS 108055 - Mary Haasis, 116 Courtland, asked if there was an ordinance requiring garbage cans to be returned from the curb. There seems to be many cans left out all through the week and not just on pickup days. Mayor Rooff reported that residents must remove the cans from the curbs or can be cited and fined by the Sanitation or Health Department Councilperson Getty requested that the Public Works parking along the 100 block of South Street. Krizek requested that residents be notified of the before it is scheduled. Committee discuss removing the meeting by the Clerk's office Mollenhoff/Jordan that the above oral comments be received and placed on file. Ayes: Seven. Motion carried.
