Mayor Pro Tem Jerry Anders in the Chair. Roll Call: Getty, Murphy, Jordan, Gronen, Collier, Anders. Absent: Krizek. 110983 - Tom Hall, reported that he was standing on the corner of 5th and Washington Streets as a police car with its lights and sirens on was coming down Washington Street. Vehicles would not yield to the police car, and Mr. Hall feels it is because they are listening to their boom boxes with earphones. Mr. Hall stated that he feels the boom boxes should be outlawed, and that the drivers should be fined. Murphy, Gronen that the above oral comments be received, placed on file and the Council adjourn at 6:54 p.m. Ayes: Six. Absent: Krizek. Motion carried. Moved by Getty, seconded by Murphy that the Agenda, as proposed, be approved. Ayes: Seven. Motion carried. Roosevelt Taylor updated the council on his recent trip to Cape Town, Africa. Mr. Roosevelt stated that over ten nations attended the annual International Credit Union meeting in Cape Town. The event was held over a seven-day period. Mr. Roosevelt shared pictures taken during his visit. Next year the annual meeting will be held in Sydney, Australia .
