COUNCIL WORK SESSION
March 2, 1998
4:45 p.m.
Large Conference Room
Members present: Mayor Rooff, Getty, Murphy, Jordan, Anders,
Krizek, Mollenhoff.
Members absent: Collier.
Moved by Jordan, seconded by Mollenhoff that the Agenda, as
proposed, be approved. Ayes: Six. Absent: Collier. Motion
carried.
The proposed 5 Year General Obligation Bond Program and the FY 1999
Capital Equipment Program were reviewed. The recommended five-year
General Obligation Bond Program totals $26,595.00, which is less
than the Mayor/Council goal of $26,750.00. The Mayor and City
Council requested that future bonding reduce the city's bonding
indebtedness by $5,000,000 over the next five years. The
recommended program accomplishes that goal.
The Capital Equipment Program for Fiscal Year 1999 totals
$1,060,000 and is being funded from a combination of funds,
including sewer, sanitation, local option sales tax and general
obligation bonds.
With no further business before the council, it was moved by Getty,
seconded by Jordan that the meeting be adjourned at 5:35 p.m.
Ayes: Six. Absent: Collier. Motion carried.
