Mayor John R. Rooff in the Chair. Roll Call: Getty, Murphy, Jordan, Krizek, Gronen,.Collier, Anders. Invocation by: Reverend Ronald Waters, Hammond Avenue Brethren Church. Pledge of Allegiance: Councilperson Joe Collier. ORAL PRESENTATIONS 112419 - Dorothy Carter, 435 Conger Street, stated that debris is scattered all over the property located at 437 Conger Street, and she is afraid some night there will be a fire at that residence. Ms. Carter stated that there are trees on her property that need to be cut down and asked if the city could help her. Mayor Rooff stated that he will have Leisure Services and Code Enforcement look at 437 Conger Street and the trees on Ms. Carter's property. Mayor Rooff commented that FEMA has been in the area reviewing damage the city received in the last storm, and that the Red Cross is helping victims. Mayor Rooff stated that he is working with FEMA to get the area declared a disaster area. Mayor Rooff reported that the city received 7" of rain in 1 hour, 22 minutes, which is 7.8 billion gallons of water running through 62 square miles. The Treatment Plant averages 17 million gallons per day, and at 17 million gallons per day it would take until next Labor Day to run that much water through our system. Mayor Rooff thanked Leisure Services and the Street and Sanitation Departments for all their efforts helping residents during the storm and cleaning up the city.
