Mayor John R. Rooff in the Chair. Roll Call: Getty, Murphy, Jordan, Krizek, Gronen, Collier, Anders. Invocation by: Reverend Mark Eigsti, Waterloo Church of Nazarene. Pledge of Allegiance: Dr. Bill Gronen. ORAL PRESENTATIONS 112379 - Councilperson Anders submitted a petition from the residents of the 600 block of Maxwell Avenue requesting that the city fix the sewer drainage system in the 600 block of Maxwell Avenue so they do not have to contend with flood like waters in their yards, basements and houses. Mayor Rooff commented that he and Councilperson Anders visited Maxwell Avenue and Rainbow Drive, and they believe there are a couple of things the city can do to help those residents. Mayor Rooff stated that the city will set up a meeting with the Engineering Department to see what the city can do on a short-term basis. Mayor Rooff reported that he is working with FEMA assessing flood damage county -wide, and they informed the city that citizens with flood damage should contact the American Red Cross. Mayor Rooff stated that Straub Field on Fairview is open for citizens to dump brush and debris from the storm. Mayor Rooff stated that the Sanitation Department will pick up flood damaged materials curbside with advance notification, and Forestry staff are working on clearing damaged trees. Councilperson Collier reported that he noticed waterstanding on Fourth Street in front of Sullivan Park and also on Cottage Street.
